Ogham Readings on Saturdays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills.  Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

 

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

 
I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via email -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline.  I cannot answer health questions.  If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break. 

My next planned break is the week of Saturday, September 21.

I take reading requests from whenever this post goes up on Friday night until 8pm US Central Time the next day (Saturday).

Hi Mr. M.,

You drew three cards this week. All were well-dignified. This may look on the surface like the week will come up roses, but I would be remiss if I didn't caution you that all well-dig readings are not what they may seem on the surface. I've had many well-dig days with crushing sinus headaches. It is more of a "you are going to handle challenges beautifully" indication than a straight up indication of good fortune.

For the You position, you drew Luis or Protection. Luis, no matter what the dignity, is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so be vigilant about taking all forms of protection the entire week and act in a risk-adverse way. Other than a dangerous week, it talks about connecting with one's higher self or what they are calling the "5D timeline reality" nowadays -- a heightened sensitivity to nobler causes than the usual daily grind and personal/political dramas.

For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience. You are ready for the poop hitting the fan, and it just might. Maybe you can prevent it. There is always a careful balance between paranoia and partying like it is 1999. You may find yourself having to act as the voice of reason this week.

For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts. This shows an awareness of the appropriate times to flex your talents, a healthy and balanced recognition of the talents of others (without the imbalances of either being jealous or turning yourself into a fanatic of the talented person), and compassion when it comes to sharing your own gifts. Duir comes from a foundation of gratitude and appreciation.

My Ogham think you should take care of this right away. They give Quert or Delight well-dignified, which means you possess the earned wealth (this can mean money, but it can also mean energy and feeling) to get this done NOW. For their general opinion, they give Ngetal or Health well-dignified, which indicates they think you have a balanced approach and that you are aware of the limits of this situation as well as your own limits.

For the You position, you drew Fearn or Bridge well-dignified. This week holds the discovery of a path towards a better way of being. There are many ways to "get a leg up" but in the poisonous state of the collective astral plane at the moment, the whopping majority of them end up being at someone else's expense and/or via the problematic path of unearned wealth. This week you are shown a more win-win approach.

For the Situation, you drew Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified. You or your loved ones may feel like their get up and go got up and went. You can ameliorate this by putting a temporary moratorium on new plans, outings, and projects and generally laying low. This is a week to contemplate your current intentions and spend time in the intention workshop before allowing any new or divergent ones.

For the Outcome, you drew Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. Despite having the low energy of Beith, demands on your energy will be high. It is very important to let go of that which was not meant to be or what is never going to happen. Only by letting the old die can you make room for the new to be born.

1. What do I need to know to make the best of this week?

2. What is the number one thing I should work on right now in my life? As one example, I’ve long made lists of various things to know - people I’ve been more intimate with than I should be, past mistakes - but these lists I have not given a permanent place in my mind or in a physical location so far. Considering how easy it is for me to fall back into trusting people more than I should, I really can do better to remind myself who I’m speaking to each time I’m speaking with them.

For the You position, you drew Luis or Protection well-dignified. Despite the well-dignified aspect of this card, it is a danger card in my Ogham and I will utter my usual warnings about shoring up your defenses and being risk-adverse. Other than that, it talks about connecting with the purpose of your incarnation and its main intentions. This may not be an easy week -- this kind of magnifying glass upon your true will may be awkward or painful. You will have to face it with courage and determine how you can assist it.

For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts well-dignified. This card is linked closely with Luis and tends to feature similar goals. This is a good week to look at your many gifts and to examine if you are using them in the best way. It is also a good week to look at how gifts flow both between people and between other entities and forces: how can you make the gifts you give a win-win transaction?

For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. There are a couple of potential imbalances here: one is paranoia. We all know those doomer sorts of people who end every comment with an ellipsis and all but jump to the conclusion that some form of apocalypse is going to arrive within the next five years. Don't be one of those people, they are living out the Apocalypse Meme and it is not helping anyone, most of all them. The opposite end of imbalance is throwing all caution to the wind and giving up on resilience, which is of course a very bad thing that is the opposite of a very bad thing.

For your thing to work on right now, the Ogham give you Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. You need to work on knowing yourself while also being utterly ruthless when it comes to not telling anyone what is going on in your head. There is a great freedom when you know you don't owe anyone the information that resides in your brain. Keep in mind that we all possess a spiritual ecosystem that is comprised of our own various selves (higher self, avatars, lower self) as well as a veritable crowd of beings who interact or ignore us at any given moment. You can work on your ecosystem first by acknowledging that it is there and second by picking up the daily work of the spirit, much of which includes mundane tasks in the form of being kind and doing household chores.

You drew an all ill-dignified reading this week, and though it may seem dire at first glance, I have noticed all ill-dig readings are never as bad as they initially seem. Consider this reading a warning of potential imbalances that you will most likely be able to easily step around.

For the You card, you drew Straif or Resilience. True resilience comes from within. Stoicism has a great deal to teach us about true resilience or what is often referred to as "grit". The cultivation of diligence, generosity, and tact are far better than the accumulation of large amounts of money and goodies, because the former comprise earned wealth. This card can be straight up warning that you are going to feel worn out and exhausted: be ready to cancel activities and work and cut yourself some slack this week.

For the Situation, you drew Mór or Sea. Through zero fault of your own, the collective astral around you is set to Crapstorm this week. Bring a metaphorical umbrella, lay low, and do your best not to act in a provocative manner. The good news is you did nothing to cause this state. The bad news is it affects everything around you and you and there isn't much you can do about that either.

For the Outcome, you drew Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. Think carefully before you speak all this week. Your brain is going to be quick to judgement but your mouth does not have to be the same. Buy time where needed. Tech and transportation may be on the fritz, so make other plans, bring snacks, and be prepared to reschedule or take different routes.

Thank you. This is good to know -- all the more so since I have found some of my thoughts lately drifting in the Crapstorm direction. So it is helpful to hear that this is part of the weather, and I don't have to take it seriously. As someone once said, "Don't believe everything you think." :-)

For the You position, you drew Ruis or Regret well-dignified. Keep your eye out for a mistake almost made or an ugly situation popping up in your memory. You have transcended the regret of the past by recognizing it and putting the drama aside so you can deal with it constructively. The best aspect of Christianity, in my mind, is modeling Jesus when it comes to repentance: understanding the flaws of being human and working with what you've got. Everybody has got to start somewhere.

For the Situation, you drew Quert or Delight well-dignified. This is a week to make a special point of treating yourself. You have reason to celebrate and relax -- don't miss the opportunity to soften up and recognize a fleeting pleasure. It is the little kindnesses so many take for granted that actually make civilization a worthwhile project. You can sublimate these gifts via your gratitude.

For the Outcome, you drew Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified. The haters may try to drag you down but they can no longer touch you. You are in a league far beyond theirs; perhaps you have pity for them but you don't let that get the best of you either. The de-sensitized existence is hell in its own right. Good afternoon Kimberly,

To review: Phagos went both ways this week. First from results of incompetents of one shift contrasting with the diligence and discipline of the other shifts obligating me to waste two hours every day to correct. On the other hand, the trainee I got this week learns easily, and retained what was taught on the first try. I adjusted and kept a light touch, focusing on the diligence and discipline to perform the tasks in a timely manner.

Muin and Luis was the fun of discovering that the partner who you were counting on to trade shifts with while collectively covering for another broke his hand, and the whole shift schedule we had planned on sharing for the next two weeks now solely rests entirely on my shoulders. Add to this the ongoing issue with the distaff shift and the stresses of training someone new, yeah.

Luis' warning has kept me on my toes dancing around these issues, and making sure my shoes are tied and my hands held close, I need them all intact while I marathon through.

To ask: What is it that I need to know this week, according to the Ogham?

For the You card, you drew Eadha or Limits well-dignified. You have an intuitive understanding not only of where you end and others begin, but also of what is within your control and what is not. This means you bring a great deal of much-needed rationality and logic to the table. You may have to draw some hard lines this week, so be ready.

For the Situation, you drew Saille or Sensitivity well-dignified. This shows you being conscientious and responsible even when under fire. Your intuition is accurate. Since this is in Situation, it also indicates a balance of sensitivity in your loved ones and attention to detail from both you and them. You seem to have a healthy, happy home life and home is a place of restoration, nurturing, and renewal.

For the Outcome, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. Tinne is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so play it safe this week and stay aware and awake to potential threats. Other than that, it talks about either getting too fiery about defense or not fiery enough. You'll want to really watch what you say, offering no quick judgements despite the speed at which your mind comes to a judgement. That said, there are some people and situations where if you give an inch, they'll take a mile, so stay vigilant and stand your ground.

My Ogham give you three cards for the upcoming period.

For the You position, they give Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. This points to feeling frustrated by how little you know and feeling like you have no way of getting to a knowledgeable state. Your efforts are best spent doing the kind of diligent, chop wood and carry water work that eventually and gradually leads to enlightenment.

For the Situation, you drew Saille or Sensitivity well-dignified. This points to knowing how to say and do the right thing at the right time but more importantly, it is a good instinct about when not to say anything and when not to act. This card points to a growing awareness of your internal ecosystem, both physically and astrally.

For the Outcome, you drew Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. Sometimes this card does not have the possibility of being ill-dignified even if it is technically ill-dignified: it can be a card of giving from the heart and in that case, if you do it selflessly, it returns to you multiplied. It can also point to being molly-coddled and dependent or trying to do the same thing to someone else to put them in a molly-coddled state.

For the You card, you drew Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. Someone may be lunging out of the shadows trying to make you or a family member (or the group as a whole) feel guilty in an unjust way -- guilt and shame are potent weapons that slimy people and advertisers use all the time. There could also be a case where there is unproductive regret coming from within. On the opposite side of a Ruis imbalance is lack of culpability and the need to get down off of the high horse in humility.

For the Situation, you drew Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. There is a good foundation of earned pragmatic and intellectual wealth in your family and you will likely draw on it this week. This card in any dignity warns you to keep your secrets and to keep mouths closed as this will lend great power.

For the Outcome, you drew Quert or Delight ill-dignified. The trouble with prosperity in any amount is we quickly develop a taste for it. I myself have trouble with "lifestyle creep" -- when I get used to a luxury and suddenly I cannot imagine life without it. Yet even as a lower middle class American, my life is anything but Spartan. Delightful things and activities have to be put in balance and perspective: too many and we become spoiled, privileged, and entitled; too little and life feels like a THIS IS SPARTA battleground. The Ogham, of course, remind that balance is the ideal state.
