Hi Anon,

Oy vey, that sounds like quite the situation. You have my sympathies.

My Ogham think you should say a hard No to your supervisor. They give Nuin or Communication ill-dignified, which is to say they concur with your opinion of the request as ridiculous. Your supervisor wants you to be a good little robot -- he or she (or the company itself) is treating you like a disposable automaton. That is a sucky way to operate and carries its own karma for those who choose to act that way no matter what they believe. Shame on them.

My Ogham aren't sure that it's a deal breaker. That place may need you more than you need them. They provide Straif or Resilience ill-dignified, which is to say you should always have a backup plan, but it is not yet clear that they're trying to get rid of you. If you indeed are being let go, the Ogham advise you ask again later.

For your final question, the Ogham provide Quert or Delight. They suggest you meditate on little things that seem rather silly: tiny courtesies such as neighbors helping each other out, etheric labor and the way it improves daily life, strangers who are courteous and nice. All of these tiny things add up to a civilization worth living in. Without them, we would live in Sparta/Mordor and living in Sparta/Mordor is terrible. The Ogham want you to study generous, courteous, kind people -- they are a rare breed, but they can be found, you just cannot count on them to advertise. Study them and then figure out how you can imitate them. When I get mad that I "got took" on something, like being suckered into buying a waste-of-money item or service, I make sure that instead of getting mad and desperately trying to get my money back, that I make a donation in the amount of how much I got conned out of to the local homeless shelter. If I have so much excess money to burn that I can be fooled out of it, then surely I can make a gift to people who don't have as much as I currently enjoy.
