Thanks for sharing that story! I've had many such moments where people were shocked that I didn't react like the typical entitled modern asshat, having learned from the experience of being such an asshat in my younger years. Experience is the best teacher... At this point I have accepted that I'm the kind who forgets my phone at work or my wallet or whatever. Freaking out about it doesn't help anyone, so I don't!
