There are a few interesting extra elements about Cuties in particular.
This is set in France but in the context of a Senegalese muslim family, and the families they are rebelling against are traditional African / Muslim families. Apparently this is somewhat of a controversy among conservative muslim families in France already, and the movie was inspired by the existing behavior of the kids these days.
I know that all the QAnon stuff focuses on the Hollywood undermining of Christian morality and focuses on the corruption of "The West" but goodness me, perhaps they felt like they were being a bit exclusionary with their exploitation? Maybe they were afraid they would be called "Racists" for their focus on white western girls' bodies? You'll notice that this movie doesn't appear to be condemning the behavior, but rather glamorizes it.
