Being Orthodox, we pray for "those suffering from the war in Ukraine" generally, and a list of people in Ukraine who are friends and family members of parishioners. My son's godmother has a cousin trapped in Mariupol, for example. No matter what's going on in the broader political world, hiding out in basement bomb shelters with your kid is no picnic.
I don't pretend to know what's going on over there, or who are the good guys or bad guys. But there's a lot of suffering, and many (on both sides of the conflict!) are our fellow Orthodox. So of course we ask for God's mercy on them.
