Interestingly, I can barely sense the land spirits, but at least one of my children can easily sense them. Not just on our homeplace, but anywhere.
So I think it is entirely possible that there are people who-well, I'm a musician and so are you, so let's use sound-there are people who are deaf to certain frequencies. I have friends who can't sense angels, but I can, and said friends are far more devout and respectful than I am. I can occasionally hear the Creator of All, when He wants me to, but obviously most people don't, and I would presume they simply can't. I don't think that means anything more than not being able to hear certain sounds does. Whatever causes an ability to 'hear' certain entities and not 'hear' others is hardly a moral failing: perhaps some folks hung out with the pre-incarnation versions of tympani and piccolos too often without earplugs, or perhaps that's stretching the analogy far too far!
