The reason Donald Trump is President at the time of this writing comes from the attempts of Democratic censors to police free speech and extinguish free thought. Luckily, their efforts have proven largely unsuccessful. In the aftermath of COVID-19, I believe even the Chinese Communist Party will find it increasingly difficult to ruin average people’s lives enough to make them submissive. The next Cultural Revolution in China may end up ushering Big Brother to the guillotine.
I hope there is something you see that I've missed. I know this entry was written what feels like a lifetime ago in terms of escalation of events, but it feels like the attempts actually have been very successful. The Leftists and their lackeys all across the media, legacy and social, have made moves for years that none of us have effectively stood up against, and now they are at peaks of power I don't think we anticipated they'd reach. "Silence is Consent" they tell us; unless they are talking about #metoo, of course.
Facebook can blacklist you, Paypal can cut you off from finances, Visa can refuse to work with you, your CDN can refuse to serve your website, and Google can control what you find when you search for things, and these new institutions have all plainly been captured by the cultural left and are working together. There is no such rival web of networks among the non-left that has access to power and finance.
Do you recall the photo of the Westpoint student who was dishonorably discharged after photos of himself mugging for the camera with a "Communism will win" sign hidden in his cap? A Che shirt under his uniform? It was not just him that was sympathetic to this ambition. At the very least, so too must have been the taker of the photo. How about the other students in the photo who weren't posing with him? How deep has the rot spread, and who is to say that the enforcement arm of the new Leftists won't be the current US military itself?
What in China are you seeing that gives rise to a hope that the CCP is in any way in danger of another cultural revolution? Or that their systems would be vulnerable?
