Not-believing in them doesn't protect you from them, you know? Well said... I found this out the hard way. For the record, Wicca made the experiences much, much worse. The type of Gardnerian Wicca I practiced in earnest offered exactly zero strengthening of the astral body.
Protestantism is doomed, I think. I don't expect it to be around as a religion in another thousand years. Of course I could be wrong. If Protestantism does manage a comeback, it will have to chuck Calvinism and most forms of evangelism, starting with the pathetic Prosperity Gospels of Joel Osteen and other uber-capitalist Christian Biblical literalists. Protestantism would of course benefit and potentially survive by embracing magic and mysticism and incorporating the study and potential acceptance of reincarnation. In other words, they could try acting slightly more like Jesus...
I hope Islam either radically changes or just goes away as a religion. I'd have as much confidence in the average imam as I would the average priest or pastor to get rid of a demon/djinn... that is zero. Those who live in an astral septic tank are usually not up to the task of banishing crap.
I believe JMG once said (or it could have been the Association of Druids in America) that the Sphere of Protection was partly based on the Stations of the Cross. I think he might have said that the LBRP was from the Golden Dawn people back in the day.
I'd like to see the dabblers learn from their mistakes and start worshipping the gods instead of invoking them in half-assed, bumbling "rituals" just to boss them around. We would all be better off if they understood the repercussions of throwing around their bad intentions. I'm planning an essay where I'll talk about what it's like to be severely depressed and why they keep digging themselves into a black hole. These people are being hagged for sure, and the ones who don't remember their dreams are likely the most severely victimized by spirit predators. If I suddenly stopped remembering my dreams, I'd be absolutely terrified, because it would mean they were too traumatic for me to pull into conscious memory.
