Ogham Readings on Saturdays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

 

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via emails -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline. I cannot answer health questions. If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break.

My next planned break is from March 13 -- March 19, 2026.

I take reading requests from whenever this post goes up on Friday night until 8pm US Central Time Saturday.

Greetings Kimberly!

My family and I have been working on a difficult project for some years now. We are approaching hinge points. Whenever I do my own divinations on this project the readings consistently line up with my gravest concerns. However, in each previous stage of the project, these outcomes have not been bourne out. Things have gone great, challenging but great.

I recently did a three card divination asking how to tell if I am getting accurate readings or if they are being colored by my fears. Two cards advised me to "seek advice" and the third told me to "stay in the present".

So, I am seeking advice from you.
I would like to know, please, what your ogham think I should keep in mind as I work on the project.

Also do you know of any essays that talk about how strong personal feelings can compromise readings? Have you written one yourself?

2. There’s one person in my life - “Henry” - who I’ve been kind of friends with before and I could reach out to again, but I’ve experienced this person in dreams as associated with regret, and I cannot tell if it’s because I’d regret reaching back out to them or they’ve had regretful experiences in their own life. So I’ve refrained for a while to connect with them out of fear.

There is no point to holding onto fear RE enquiring the Ogham about this situation, so I’d like to simply ask if it is worth my time to reach back to “Henry” or not.

Hi AO,

You drew three cards this week. All are well-dignified.

For the You card, you drew Eadha or Limits. Though your boundaries may be pushed, you will stand firm to your own better senses. This is good practice for the future; compare it with the past when you were perhaps pushed around in ways that did not help you at all. Notice how good limits translate into balance and happiness.

For the Situation, you drew Luis or Protection. Whether well- or ill-dignified, this is one of my Ogham's danger cards, and so I utter my usual warning about being especially risk-adverse this week. Other than that, it talks about multiple opportunities to perceive the subtle and the large without being swayed by petty human ego/drama.

For the Outcome, you drew Huath or Obstacles. This is yet another danger card in my Ogham, and it can point to the need to use your Martial fire to defend yourself. In my own case, I have a great deal of Martial fire that can easily translate into being hot-headed, overly intense, and rash. Since it is well-dignified, this is the good side of Martial fire, and it calls you to meditate on the positives and negatives of a warlike spirit, accountability, and excess "mojo".

For the You card, you drew Onn or Community ill-dignified. Your group of casual buddies, acquaintances, neighbors, store clerks, extended family and non-best-friends may be demanding too much of you or you too much of them. Set your limits firmly and make it very clear where you end and they begin. Sometimes this card signifies someone is being rude, flighty, or un-neighborly and that you have to deal with it in a graceful manner. Always be the bigger person, and don't return vulgarity in kind.

For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts well-dignified. Duir is always a lovely card. It is symbolized by the Oak tree, and it is a symbol of expansive kindness and generosity. Sharing gifts always makes them sweeter. You can count on the Divine "seeing" it, in fact, this way of being is the best and fastest way of getting their attention.

For the Outcome, you drew Mór or Sea ill-dignified. It's easy to allow the negative to skew your opinion or your experience, so don't let the turkeys get you down. There are many people who cannot live in the moment, nor can they see the goodness all around them. You really have to limit your exposure to such types, even if you are like me and have a daily banishing ritual in place.

For the effect of the PST amulet, they give Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. This is an amulet you will have to work for, meaning you will have to do "all the things", meditation, preparation, listening for what Spirit has to suggest and then likely following through on that suggestion.

Hi Heloise,

Hmmm, it sounds like you're having a common issue that people have with divination, and that is the tendency to catastrophize. Meaning, the divination will be ill-dignified, or let's say you are doing Tarot and you get the 10 of swords, the Tower, the Hanged Man, and Death all ill-dignified and you will imagine it means the absolute worst. When I started reading Tarot in my late teens (before going through my atheist period), I used to jump to all sorts of dramatic conclusions and was often completely and utterly wrong.

I have not written essays to this end but you might want to ask JMG if he has anything on that on Magic Monday.

For the reading, you drew three cards.

For the You or most immediate card, you drew Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. You have yet to strike at the root of what is making the project difficult. All involved have to ask themselves whether or not they are willing to make the personal changes that will make the project a success. If not, so be it, but you'll have to find a work-around and perhaps accept that the unwillingness to change could put the kibosh on the project, or at least certain aspects of it.

For the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. Knowing when to say "Good enough" is going to save the day and the project. It may not be perfect, but if it will do, you can make it work. You also have to know your ultimatums. Meditate on what happens if everything goes right, if everything goes wrong/abandonment, and quite a few scenarios in-between.

For the Outcome, they give Beith or Intention ill-dignified. The project seems to be encompassing too much. Narrow the focus, streamline the goal, and figure out what "good enough" means both collectively and for every individual making the decisions. Remember that envisioning yourself with the project done and a sweet, grateful feeling of success is powerful and can affect the outcome and direction of the project. Don't obsess over details; envision the happy ending and keep your eye on the prize.

For the You card, you drew Fearn or Bridge well-dignified. The karma of helping others is that you will be helped by others. Guidance appears in various forms; keep an eye out for synchronicities and weird occurrences that are messages from the Divine.

For the Situation, you drew Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. Huath is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so this needs to be a week of avoiding risks. Huath can easily talk about lack of energy, or too much energy in the form of frustration. Don't force things. You need to recover and heal.

For the Outcome, you drew Ruis or Regret well-dignified. Having been around the block or two is to your distinct advantage. You know when to panic, and that's why you are not panicked. Enough regret piled up and used constructively is eventually called wisdom.

My Ogham give you three cards in reference to Saint Kateri.

For the You card, they give Straif or Resilience well-dignified. Saint Kateri likes you because you know how to move with the times and go with the flow. She has changed with the times too and she communicates through modern formats. All of the people who think she's only to be found in the forest or at shrines are badly mistaken. She talks to those who are listening.

For the Situation, they give Luis or Protection well-dignified. She offers powerful protection and healing for both those who have a personal relationship with her and the spirits of the land, her allies. Remember the spirits of the land are everywhere, including in cities and in your home. The spirit of the land lives inside you.

For the Karma, they give Ngetal or Hygiene. This is a spiritually retarded and septic time. There isn't much you can do about this except to ride it out. The only healthy option is for you to be the change and damn everyone else, including the "powers" who are ruining everything. Ignore them as much as possible and work with her directly. She is insulted when people try to use her to do their bidding, so don't do that. Never come at her from a place of ego.

For the You card, you drew Uilleand or Generosity. No matter what the financial situation, generosity that is truly from the heart results in a metaphorical golden touch that turns everything it touches into something beautiful. Notice this touch blessing your life, and also notice how the truly stingy (massively wealthy people are often stingy, especially the ones who use "philanthropy" as a mask for shady business) become genuine monsters because they are never touched by the spirit of true generosity.

For the Situation, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. This is a week of making connections and seeing hidden truths, some of which could be perplexing or difficult. "Being considerate and hospitable, but with strict limits" is the theme of this week.

For the Outcome, you drew Gort or Perseverance. You are sticking to your guns on the right things, focusing on the best priorities, allowing the not-so-great ones to fall aside. It's not that what has been left to falter is inherently bad -- actually, no, it's pretty good -- it's just that you realize you don't have time, nor can you be everything to every one.

For the group, they give Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. Things are slowly improving, but the problems are not over yet and you may have to walk on eggshells a bit more. Focus on the positive -- there is a great deal of it. Ignore the negative as much as possible and give the benefit of the doubt even if certain parties do not deserve it.

For the You card, you drew Phagos or Teaching well-dignified. Phagos, whether ill- or well-dignified, is always a discreet warning to keep your mouth shut at the right time. If in doubt, say nothing. Other than that, it is a joyful sharing or accumulation of knowledge that is a breath of fresh air.

For the Situation, you drew Eadha or Limits ill-dignified. You've got to think about your boundaries, because if you don't, they may be pushed or reset against your will. This iteration of Meatworld is particularly difficult because we are being psychically assaulted all the time and most of us lack the spiritual protection to do anything about it.

For the Outcome, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. Tinne is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so I utter my usual warning about playing it very safe this week. We often treat defense symptomatically, putting out small fires instead of addressing the root of the problem. You have to look at the issues you are having with brutal honesty. Do your research, meditate, and without emotion, address the true problem, not its side effects and smoke signals.
