Also, worry and anxiety are the subconscious's attempt to turn fear into control. It seldom works. Every time you feel you are working into a lather via anxiety or worry, think of a reason to be grateful or some aspect of gratitude for your subject of worry. It's not easy at all, as it will often try to cycle into more fear of losing what you are grateful for. But if you can hold gratitude in any form of stasis, it will sublimate and protect bad things from happening. As you might know, I have three outdoor cats and three indoor cats and it is extremely easy to worry about them because I love them so much. When I find myself getting anxious over them, I supplant those thoughts with gratitude for how wonderful they are and how much joy they have brought to my life. Again, it's easier said than done but I am fairly certain my gratitude exerts a protective influence over them.
