Yeah, I think it'll give far too many of them a framework for continuing to engage, basically, in war against their fellow Americans. Because it'll give them an alternate "nation" to belong to. As much as I'm deeply uncomfortable with fundamentalism, those people at least see themselves as Americans. Even the very worst Gothardites and Westboro Baptist types are... pretty laughable outside their own communities. The same can't be said of Islam.
