Ogham Readings on Mondays
Submit your question or request for a general "what's up this week" reading and I will be happy to oblige!

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not!
******************Thanks Everyone... Readings are closed for this week, see you next Monday!******************

Looks like a rough week.
My Ogham are warning you that it is not a good week. All three Ogham cards came up ill-dignified, so what that means is you will do best to watch out for imbalances.
The number one position or You is Huath or Difficulty, which in the old system is Hawthorn an in my system is Sycamore. Huath points to one of two imbalances: the urge to force an outcome or to try and go around something that cannot be gone around, or a total feeling of weakness that a problem is a predicament and cannot be helped, so it becomes not worth trying and zaps your energy and will.
The second card is Luis (Rowan) or Protection. This means that you are someone you love will be under threat this week and that there is risk of overreaction or underreaction to that threat. For example, in my opinion, masks/distancing is an overreaction that worsens our problems in the guise of solving them. The opposite of masks/distancing is the old days where lots of people never washed their hands after pooping or peeing and sick people went to work while hacking and sneezing, including myself. Both extremes, one of over-safety and one of under-safety, are equally bad.
The final card is Gort or Perseverance (Ivy). For me, this card tends to come up a lot when my finances are in the dumpster and I have to cut out any perks or luxuries, which is to say I am quite familiar with Gort as of late. It can also indicate a tendency to smother and dominate -- as always, the Ogham is trying to warn you of an imbalance in either direction.

Since I'm asking every week what's up and usually have at least one other question, I figure I might as well create an account to keep track of it all for future reference.
1) Last week, you nailed it once more, so first, what's up this week?
2) I currently live at home. I suspect my parents will try to force me to get a Covid vaccine, but I do not want to take experimental medication. I suspect this means I will need to move out soon: I don't want to deal with the emotional blackmail and pressures they will attempt on this; and I figure that there's a good chance they will say I either get it or leave anyway. Since based on the government guidelines it looks like I won't be eligible to get it until July, my plan is to move out July 1. Is this the right time to aim for, or should my target be earlier?
3) I live in Ottawa, which is a twin city with Gatineau. Gatineau is on the other side of the river, in Quebec instead of Ontario, and when I looked for places to live noticed rents in Gatineau are around a third less than Ottawa. What will happen if I move to Gatineau? This is a short term question, say for a year or two. Past that I don't expect to remain in the area anyway.

The middle card, the Situation, is Koad or Grove. This is neutral but it is a card of karmic culmination. It is likely that someone outside you will "get what they deserve", which isn't necessarily as negative as it sounds.
The third card I think we've seen before, and in the same position the same way. It's Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. It is in the lesson position and speaks of not being able to gracefully let go of a thing, an era, or a person well past its due date.

Current Spiritual Practices
If this is not too open-ended, could you ask your Ogham about my current spiritual practices? Should I continue coasting in my holding-pattern; should I prioritize doing more; am I missing something? Thanks!

Thank you, Sister Crow

Straif is the card of "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." It is a card of learning to live with less, of being tested and proofed, and of going one's own path despite that path being harder.
Brigid has two things for you to think about.
She gives me two cards, one thing you are doing right and one thing you are doing wrong. She gives me Quert or Delight for what you are doing right: you are grateful and she appreciates your daily gratitude. For what you're not doing right, she gives me Ngetal ill-dignified. Ngetal is a card of hygiene and health. I think she is saying that you may need to clean up your everyday approach to your health via more mild exercise, more sunshine and hugs, and improving your diet.

I'd very much appreciate a general week ahead reading.
Best,

Your state this week will be one of Confluence, of the "perfect storm" designed to show you life's realities from a higher point of view, i.e. assistance from higher powers and possibly gods. They give me Koad or Grove. You'll be shown a lesson via the intersection of various factors unique to your life.
The second card this week is Change, or Mór, which means The Sea. You are growing and evolving. This is in the Situation position, so look for someone else to be growing and evolving in some key way as a result of your work.
The third card this week is Uilleand, which means Generosity. You will learn the lesson of generosity this week and that is the lesson that generosity sublimates where its imbalances, spendthriftness and parsimony degrade.

(Anonymous) 2021-03-22 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)In this week's boring and repetitive question (sorry), I ask: What if I pursue surgery with the Icelandic doctor (who now practices reasonably near where I live)? (OTOH, what about the more local doctor spouse's PCP suggested?)

My Ogham give a definitive Yes. They give me Onn, which means Community, well-dignified.

How to prep to retire
(Anonymous) 2021-03-22 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)The other two cards called my attention to my here and now as it unfolded.
Thanks.
So, for this week, my question is, should I start getting ready to retire from my healing practice at the end of the year, and what do I need to do to get that going?
Thanks,
Annette
Re: How to prep to retire
Thanks for the feedback! They say Yes, you should begin your retirement from your practice at the end of the year. They give me Tinne or Defense for that question. This suggests you should take all of the resilience type measures you can before retiring. As for the other question, they give me Oír or Epiphany. This suggests that you'll need to kick yourself into action; slow and steady is not the way. They are saying to put a great burst of focused will energy into the retirement process... you'll be glad you did.

I’m still trying to figure out what the issue with my community is, per one of your divinations two weeks ago. Last week you said it was neither my family nor my work. So, can I ask the Ogham to give me a few pointers?

A bizarre moment
(Anonymous) 2021-03-22 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)Two hours later, he saw me and shouted again "This guy has menaced me, he menaced me bad! I need help against his menaces!"
-Should I report this misconduct?

In other news, my husband is 5'7". He loves being "short". I consider him to be quite tall though because I am 4'11".

(Anonymous) 2021-03-23 02:50 am (UTC)(link)Thanks for your reading last week. Your advice was echoing as I dived into annoyance instead of biting my tounge, so my tounge was sore anyway afterwards. That song has been going through my head for the past week. I haven't heard it for real for many years but is definitely there waiting for use as meditation and reminder material. It always has felt pertinent.
May I have a general reading for the week? Also, if you don't mind, a comment on 'procrastination with official matters'?
Thanks, and have a good week!

The first is Coll (Hazel) well-dignified. Coll means Wisdom. This means you'll have the valuable talent of saying or doing the right thing at the right time this week.
For the Situation, they give me Straif (Blackthorn) well-dignified. This means you'll have a tough situation that will be resolved for the best this week. You'll be improved and toughened by the experience.
For the Outcome or Lesson, they give me Ruis (Rue or Elder) well-dignified. This means you'll have the benefits of regret this week. You will learn from your own mistakes or someone else's mistakes this week, gain important knowledge for later.
Overall a good week for you!
As to "procrastination with official matters" they give me Nuin or Communication ill-dignified, which indicates that an influence from far away is hindering the process. Nuin usually means communication with the larger, outside world.
