I have a sense of foreboding about the near future of my city, Ottawa Ontario.

1) Is there anything to it?

2) How urgent is it that I get out? In particular, I'm planning on taking an electrician program. Do I need to get out before that?

Hi Kevin,

Here is what my Ogham have to say:

1) Is there anything to the feeling of having to get out of Ottawa?

Yes. They give me Eadha, which is the Aspen card, well-dignified. Eadha in my system is the tree of Limits. They are saying that your current boundary setting strategies are working. This may be worth a read: https://druidogham.wordpress.com/the-fews-earth/eadha/

2) How urgent is it?

Not as urgent as you think it is. They give me Koad, ill-dignified, which means Confluence. The pile-on of factors is making the situation seem worse than it is. I think they're trying to tell you to relax.


3) Is it necessary to get out before the completion of the electrician program?

No, it is not. They give me Duir, ill-dignified. There is no bad side to Duir. It means Oak and implies generosity and love. It also means you are protected by higher forces. You have time to say goodbye to Ottawa. You don't need to feel rushed.

Thank you. It's good to know there's a reason for it, and also that it's not urgent. As for needing to relax, I think that's probably good advice here.

I believe what they are trying to convey is that you're absolutely right in your general decision to leave, the place is in trouble at least where you are concerned, however it isn't happening at a pace or isn't shaped in such a fashion where it will affect you and yours right away. So you can cross your t's and dot your i's before going away.

I do geomancy (beginner level) so am not sure what an appropriate form of question is for the Ogham fews, but would this one fly?

I think it best to apply for a change of depots in my job for reasons of avoiding upcoming foreseeable structural changes for the worse. I'd like to know if there is a best timing to make such a request. Is ASAP better than later in the year, for instance?

Hi Lilly,

My Ogham say there are a couple of auspicious times to apply for your change. Here is the reading:

Timing within this week: The best. Duir, well-dignified. Duir is Oak, and it means good luck and abundance.

Timing within this month: Oir, ill-dignified. Oir means an epiphany -- it is the most potentially negative. Epiphanies can be positive or negative, neither, or both.

Timing later in the year: Onn, well-dignified. Onn in my system means Community, so I see that as your community of co-workers and friends rallying around you.

I think they're clear that this week is the absolute best but if it doesn't work, do it near the year's end. If you do it at the year's end, you'll need the help of co-workers or friends, that's my impression because they gave you Onn, which signifies your community beyond your family such as friends and acquaintances.

Hi, unfortunately, it is unlikely. The Ogham give me Ioho ill-dignified which means it's probably no. But you know what I always say... I could be wrong!
