Unlikely. There is a current proposed bill supported by the worst of the worst that is *called* in the media a bill to ban TikTok but all it really would do is outlaw using VPNs and make it such that if you say anything on social media the government deems "benefits an aversary" they throw you in prison for 20 years.
Though I do know that the state of Montana *does* have a bill to ban TikTok on Montana soil in plain language without the backdoor criminalization of dissent and VPNs, and not just for government phones but for anyone in the state border on any device, and for any app store making apps available in the state of Montana. It isn't clear to me how this effects web browsers, all of which can just navigate to tiktok . com.
