Re: Very true

Speaking for myself and my former moody brooding art worlds in nyc phila and san fran, we saw this going away "eventually"...but... not REALLY. Not so soon or suicidal like now. Many of us just thought it was always later, but that there'd be nice places still. It's a big world ...OR so we thought.

I don't know if the original poster above was talking about Papa G's post where he talked about the limits to growth book from the 70s, but the following discussion in the comments got me asking James to explain how humans going mad on the way out was included in the downward curve... as I think Papa was also explaining to another poster.

So, NO! As cynical as Gen X was said to be, I think most of us could be said to be raging Pollyannas next to Now Times. Gobsmacked keeps coming up and is the perfect word to civilize our collective existential screams.

I didn't see and still am having a hard time with all these vax deaths and injuries in real time... and the acceptance of them has me trapped from bounding forward in much of anything.

I feel surrounded by the insane and i'm mostly sad. I want people to come back so crap doesn't have to be this sad and horrid.

I did not know regular normal people were really like this.
