Her A1C was being monitored because she's elderly. It was always normal at her annual physical until this latest one, months after getting two doses of Moderna. Now it's "pre-diabetic." We thought it was just because she's getting older / just one of those things, I mean they were monitoring her because being elderly already puts her at higher risk of it...
My mom also had a bad reaction to her second dose of Moderna--she seemed really confused for a while. Refused to go to the doctor though. I have the same PCP and mentioned it to the doc next time I saw her; she was annoyed that my mom hadn't come in so this reaction could be reported. I think the doc may have had a bad reaction herself because she was unexpectedly out for a while around that time.
