Re: Even before COVID, I think this would have been a dying tactic

People tend to forget that divorce is a lucrative industry, potentially more so than marriage. Ideals for women are impossible to attain: looking like an Instagram queen all the time (most of this pressure comes from other women), having a full time job, having gorgeous children worthy of bragging about. Men are supposed to be Christian Grey: they are supposed to be extremely well-monied without having to do any apparent work, beautiful to look at, and dominant at all times. The term "recipe for disaster" seems fitting...

College is still the finish line of a PMC upbringing, though many extend it to grad school, Puer Aeternis. It's still meant as a launching pad into the PMC lifestyle, despite the wokesters dragging it to their level of frenetic paranoia and poisonous brainwashing. Wokesters like usual don't get that they cannot have their cake and eat it too: theirs is a culture of fear, cancellation, and tearing down. That's the reason why BLM/Antifa is the same camp as the PMC and celebrity virtue signalers. All of these sorts have the clandestine hatred of the general deplorable lower classes as a feature, not a bug. Now they've gone and torn down the college system itself because they've cancelled the only thing that made it appealing: youthful camaraderie. Oops! Not that the college racket wasn't teetering on its last legs anyway. The deed is done now. They accelerated the inevitable.
