It really is, isn't it? Thankfully I think it'll collapse fairly soon in much the same way communism did in 1989; I expect there will still be people who insist it exists thirty years from now, but most of us will roll our eyes at it; and the hold it has on power will die. I'm thinking a Republican victory will play the same role Solidarity's victory in the 1989 Polish election did, and that NATO and the current set of Progressive governments worldwide will fall as fast as the Warsaw Pact and Communist governments did.
I was also briefly an atheist, but I never could quite believe it. I grew up Catholic and refused to accept God would allow a Church acting in his name to be run the way that parish was; nor what happened in the Catholic school I went to. I don't dislike Christianity in general anymore, but I don't think I'll ever like Modernist Catholics.
