Re: Just listened to it

You would think that one with her training wouldn't stumble on such an obstacle. You would think she's far too self-aware not to understand her position of privilege, especially since she spent quality time on the fringes of civilization with people who were barely hanging on by a thread.

Anyone practicing magic who isn't doing a basic banishing ritual every day at this point scares me. The astral plane is as mucky and grimy as it gets right now. Integrity or whatever Pratt thinks she can pass off as integrity isn't going to cut through a quarter of it.

I do wonder what happens when the PMC discovers they've cut the legs off the economy that they too need to exist in order to remain Professional and Managerial. These are people who don't clean their own houses or prepare their own food (there are reasons why Trader Joe's with all of its upscale TV dinners and snacks is so popular) who suddenly will be out of work with no retirement package at age 60, a giant McPalace that refuses to sell for what it is allegedly worth, failing health, and kids that have moved halfway across the world. What does Pratt do in an economy where nobody has the disposable income to become a shaman in a weekend? She's not of a class of people who could content themselves with working the checkout counter or by vacuuming apartment building common areas.
