Ugh, sorry to hear about that. A minister publicly humiliating a woman in the service sounds like an awful thing to witness. These are the people who are supposed to be leading by example! It's like a doctor who smokes and drinks himself into a 48 hour coma every week... we can't exactly trust his advice.

There's a couple of Unitarian churches in my area (far west suburbs of Chicago) that tend to catch the intellectual, atheist-leaning crowd. They went from well-meaning affluence in the 1980s to full on wokester recruiting camps in 2020. I used to help out for vegan bake sales and documentary presentations at the UU. Not any more. I wouldn't touch any of those places or the people who frequent them with a ten foot pole at this point.
