I remember people making mean jokes when Simmons passed and some TV channel doing a retrospective. Simmons was allegedly a genuinely good man who wanted to help people escape the set of addictions that foster obesity. As far as Dr. Ruth, I am convinced she died in the early 2000s. I remember it -- whatever happened was not able to erase my memory though it seems to have worked fine with others.
