Exactly. Nobody lives in fear of Gothardites and Westboro Baptists raping their kids. We find them repugnant because they give the rest of us Christians a bad rep. But in the end... they abuse their own members, and they're extraordinarily irritating (though a lot of them are still decent people). But Islam is a whole different can of worms. It sanctions every kind of violence and degradation... as long as it's directed against the outgroup, non-Muslims. It's nice that most Muslims are not inclined to take advantage of this. But it can't be trusted.
