It is my belief that the Holy Guardian Angel a.k.a. the higher self is the part that visits Meatworld once the etheric body has died. The higher self exists outside time and space, and it represents the best part of the dead person and his or her reason for incarnating in the first place. In my own late father's case, two of his best attributes were his humility and his generosity, so when I want to "talk" to him, I had better align my own behavior with humility and compulsive generosity. In the case of my late grandmother, it was her delight in laughter, so when I want to "talk" with her, I had better put on my comedian hat. Being a court jester in a past life comes in handy every now and then!
